Bird Survey Techniques

Are you interested in learning more about bird survey techniques with a view to possibly becoming involved in this activity? – then please read on.

This short course will help you to learn about survey methodology for breeding birds, including some development of the vital skills to identify birds by their vocalisations.  We will design suitable survey methods for censusing these birds and evaluate their conservation significance.

While this is primarily aimed at beginners, we welcome enthusiastic improvers.
