Butterflies & Moths – ID & Conservation

Discover why so many people are fascinated with butterflies and moths.  It is not only their beauty that intrigues us, but their importance in the survival of our local ecosystem.

Tutors Anna Fosbery and Bill Downey will share their expertise in how to identify a variety butterflies  and moths.  You will learn how to safely capture and release moths for study and monitoring purposes.  You will also be shown how to use various guides to ID species in the wild.

You will then be taken on an expert-lead walk around Nower Wood in search of these amazing creatures.
