Light Microscopy for Botanists @ The Green Centre

This one day hands-on course is intended to enable participants to get the best out of a microscope for observation or for measurement and is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who want to improve their microscope techniques. Each participant will have individual access to both a stereozoom-dissecting and a high-power compound microscope, and be introduced to a range of optical and slide making techniques including chromosome preps. Multistack imaging with Helicon Focus will also be demonstrated. Course fee includes lunch at the Wat Tyler café.
