Outdoor Play Workshop for parents/grandparents/childminders

We all know the importance of ensuring our children have active outdoor experiences. But if this has not been a regular activity in your home it can be difficult to initiate.  How do you start taking your child outdoors safely and encourage them to enjoy their natural playground? Our solution is to come and play in the woods with us!

Discover new ways to get your children to enjoy a walk in the woods.  Learn how to turn a scavenger hunt into a storytelling adventure.  Uncover minibeasts in the simplest places.  Introduce bird watching and develop an appreciation of the visiting nature in your garden.  We will provide a multitude of ideas and suggestions on how to confidently bring your children into the outdoors. We will discuss the best ways to do all of this safely while not inhibiting their adventures. These free entertainment solutions will help to fill-in a summer full of freedom and give your children the seeds with which to grow a love of nature.

This afternoon session will offer you the chance to be a kid again.  Enjoy what nature gave us and focus on the best ways to share this with the next generation.  You can also tie this into the annual Wildlife Trust’s 30 Days Wild campaign that encourages people to do something in nature each day in June and then share it through social media, on a wall calendar or via their school.
