Painting Skies using Watercolours & Gouache
Creating a memorable sky scene using watercolours and gouache can be daunting. So why not let artist and teacher Christina Rossman introduce you to some innovative ways of achieving the perfect image.
This online course has been designed to be as interactive as a face to face session. We have limited the number of participants to 10, so that your tutor can spend time with you each individually. We will be using the zoom format to encourage interaction between the students as well.
During the morning 2 hour session you will discuss and practice using both watercolour and gouache to capture the best picture of a sky. This will be achieved through live demonstrations and a few short videos. Your tutor will be able to see you and your work throughout so that she can advise and comment on your progress.
There will then be a one hour lunch break. Your tutor has found that, through previous online course experience, this break is an important way to refresh your creative juices.
The afternoon 2 hour slot will build on the techniques learned in the morning.
At the end of this day you will be able to identify the different colours and shades used when painting a sky scene. You will also have developed a variety of techniques to create images of the sky using watercolours and gouache individually and blended together.
