Reptiles – Ecology & Survey

There is an abundance of reptiles native to Surrey. Spend a day learning about all of them including their ecology and habitat. Our tutor, Jamel Guenioui, is a Senior Ecologist in the Surrey Wildlife Trust’s Ecology Services team.

He will spend the morning sharing his knowledge of each species with you in the classroom. We will be using a room in Chichester Hall which is located on Petworth Rd, Witley, Godalming GU8 5PL. We will then drive the very short distance to Witley Common.  The National Trust have granted us free parking, where available, in their car park adjacent to the common for the purposes of this course.  Jamel will then guide you on a trip through the local heath where you will discover reptiles in the their own environment. You will also learn how to use wildlife keys to accurately identify them.

Please note that you will be walking though rough terrain on uneven ground so this course would not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
