Shelters & Structures
This is the perfect course for Forest School Leaders or any outdoor educator. We will be spending the day learning the practical skills needed to create a multitude of different structures and shelters.
We will be using ropes and tarpaulins to make temporary shelters for outdoor activities. Many different knots will also be used in this excercise.
Temporary structures for play and outdoor learning will be made of wood, poles, tree branches and other natural materials such as bracken and brash. Tripods, cooking frames and lean-tos will also be made from these items found in the woods.
You will come away from this course with vital practical skills that can be used in any outdoor learning situation.
