Wildflower ID – Chalk Grassland

It is easy to notice the splash of colour created by wildflowers in a meadow, but do you know the names of the different plants living there?  This course is ideal for those who want to start learning about the diversity of native plants growing in chalk grassland and identify different species common to the Surrey Downs.

We will start with a short classroom session where tutor Isobel Girvan will instruct you on how to use a key when identifying wildflowers.  We will then walk to the SWT managed Howell Hill Nature Reserve where we will identify some of the hundreds of wildflowers native to this area
