Meadow Management
Discover the difference management makes to grassland and widlflower meadows and learn how to optimise your grass areas for wildlife.
In the beautiful meadows of Moat House, you will learn how best to manage and optimise grassland for plants and insects, how to recognise naturally rich grassland and how to increase the value of grassland for wildlife.
You will be introduced to cutting as well as grazing techniques to manage grassland for wildlife and learn about the importance of different cutting regimes. There will be an opportunity to discuss specific site problems and issues, and to explore some practical solutions.
Under the expert guidance of Marie Lagerberg, you will see how the different methods have been put into practice at Moat House to create native wildflower meadows that provide a vitally important food source and habitat for pollinator species.
