Monthly guided nature walks with the RSPB: Darts Farm to Bowling Green Marsh

Saturday 6 May to Saturday 2 December

Walk times vary to coincide with high tide

Price: RSPB member free, non-member £4 (payable on the day)

Booking essential

Come and join us on one of our Saturday walks for an enjoyable morning stroll to find out more about the wildlife that not only lives here but also why the Exe and these reserves are so important for visiting waders who spend the winter here. Meet us at the RSPB Shop, Darts Farm. We will take a gentle stroll over the boardwalk through Goosemoor nature reserve to our revamped Bowling Green hide. (This part of the walk takes approximately 20 minutes.) If time permits, there will be an optional visit to the Viewing Platform overlooking the Clyst. You are then welcome to continue on to the Goatwalk and Topsham High Street, go back to the hide or to return to Darts Farmer with Tony, our guide. What birds are you likely to see? We may see black-tailed godwits and greenshanks on Goosemoor. At Bowling Green, we may also see brent geese plus good numbers of pintails and lapwings.
