Ponds for Wildlife

Join leading conservationist, Simon Hooton, to discover the benefits of ponds to wildlife.

On this day’s course, you will have an opportunity to explore the origins of ponds, their value to wildlife, design considerations, how to manage ponds for wildlife and much more besides.

Simon will reveal the myriad of creatures that rely on ponds in order to prevail, how ponds fit into their lifecycles and what we can do to make a difference.

After a fascinating time in the class room, you will explore the ponds at Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s Foxburrow Farm reserve to see how they have evolved and been managed as habitats for different wildlife species, plus how to help them flourish in our changing climate.
