Conservation and Horticulture Tutor

Conservation and Horticulture Tutor (Full-time, permanent)

£26,000 Qualified, £23,000 Unqualified

Based in Wakefield

Full-time 37 hours per week.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional, highly motivated and inspirational Tutor to teach Conservation and Horticulture to our Study Programme learners from our new Wakefield training centre.

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic tutor who can work with 16-19 year old learners and ensure they remain engaged in learning and achieve their individually identified qualifications.

You will be part of our Learner Delivery Team reporting to a Centre Coordinator. You will be responsible for teaching and assessing from Entry to Level 2, leading to further training, vocational pathways and employment opportunities.

The essentials:

  • Teaching Qualification (CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, 7407) OR L5
  • L3 qualification in Horticulture/Conservation
  • Functional Skills L2 Maths & English
  • Experience of working with young people aged 16-19
  • Experience of working with young people with varying degrees of behaviour management needs and/or barriers to learning
  • Occupational history and competence within the industry
  • Full clean driving licence

The desirables:

  • Assessor qualifications (D32/33, A1 award or Level 3 Certificate in assessing vocational achievement).
  • Verifier Qualification (D34, IQA, V1).
