Tree House Learning is a small not for profit Forest School operating out of Ham Common Woods. We are a locally owned company with a passion for providing children with valuable experiences in natural settings. We love what we do and are looking for someone positive and fun to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience with children and have a clear, current CRB/DBS check. They should be enthusiastic and happy to work outside in all types of weather. They should have experience working with children and be comfortable working with children with special needs. The job is part time and can be as little as two hours per week (term time) and as much as 25 hours per week (school holidays) depending on the person’s needs and availability.
The successful candidate will accompany the Forest School leader and the children into the woodland for the weekly two hours session, playing an observational role, assisting the children but also helping with equipment, snacks or anything else the Forest School leader needs assisting with and then feeding back to the leader on a sessionally basis.
The successful candidate will be trained in the Forest School ethos on the job. All of our volunteers are the offered any new paid positions first before advertising elsewhere
