Forest School Project Officer (Training)

Forest School is a child-led, play based ethos that provides children, young-people and adults regular opportunities to achieve and succeed through hands on learning experiences in a natural setting.

The Wildlife Trust is passionate about the provision of opportunities for children and young people to develop their understanding of nature and care and concern for the environment, and we aim to provide this through the facilitation of Forest School programmes throughout the North West.

The team are currently recruiting for a Forest School Project Officer to focus on the preparation, implementation, delivery and evaluation of Forest School training at Level 2 and 3. This is a fixed-term position for two years.

The successful applicant will establish themselves as a key member of the Forest School team, working closely with the Education Manager and the Forest School Project Officer to prepare and deliver Forest School programmes and educations workshops to a vast range of groups such as schools, nurseries, pre-schools, scouts and guides.

You will need to have a Level 3 Certificate in Forest School Programme Leadership, and at least two years experience facilitating a range of forest schools programmes to be considered for the role. Part-time/job share will be considered for the right candidate(s).
