Learning Officer

* 6 Month Fixed Term Contract *

15 hours per week including weekends, bank holidays and occasional evenings

The Learning team at WWT Slimbridge has an excellent reputation for its outdoor, enquiry based, interactive learning sessions. Coupled with the Centres renowned collection of birds, mammals and amphibians, visits are even more memorable, enjoyable and educationally sound. As part of the team you will assist with the development, delivery and evaluation of our varied learning sessions, mainly at KS1 and KS2 levels. You will also assist with the development, delivery and evaluation of Centre’s informal learning events calendar during weekends and school holidays.

Other duties include taking and managing bookings, assisting with pre-visits and teacher taster events, helping to create seasonal interpretation and carrying out simple maintenance tasks within learning areas across the Centre.
