Senior Living Landscape Officer East

Are you passionate about creating space for wildlife?  Cheshire Wildlife Trust is recruiting a countryside manager with a broad range of skills to deliver landscape scale conservation work across eastern Cheshire. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing a suite of nature reserves in this area of the county and delivering a range of exciting project based work in the wider landscape.

The successful candidate will have hands on experience in a range of land management practices for nature conservation, an understanding of agricultural systems and skills in wildlife identification, specifically botany. Personable and approachable, you will be comfortable meeting with farmers, partner organisations, community groups and volunteers as you engage more people in our work, advocating for the Trust and creating more space for nature.

You will need to be an effective communicator, able to work independently and as part of the team and know when to take initiative.  A good understanding of relevant legislation and a creative approach to securing sustainable income to support your work will be required.
