The Trust is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for the Lancashire Wildlife Trust (LWT) to be based out of Brockholes Nature Reserve, who will have responsibility for overseeing the maintenance at Brockholes and two other sites across the North West (The Barn and the ERC, Bolton). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has both the practical skills and knowledge, as well as the ability to plan, coordinate, and manage staff, as there will be an equal split between practical maintenance and desk-based planning and management.
The Maintenance Supervisor will co-ordinate and manage the operation of the maintenance team to ensure that the buildings and systems required to keep Brockholes, our Head Office in Cuerden Valley and the Environment Resource Centre in Bolton (ERC) remain operational and well maintained. They will be responsible for implementing LWT Safety, Health and Environment policies relating to all maintenance work, ensuring compliance across the three sites.
The successful applicant will head up a team consisting of a Buildings Operations Officer, Buildings & Maintenance Assistant, part time trainees, cleaners and a small number of maintenance volunteers.
Over time, it is envisaged that this role will oversee the maintenance of additional LWT offices and nature reserves.
