We are looking for a self-motivated marketer with a creative flair to join our busy department. We are looking for someone who can help us achieve our ambitious growth plan and work as part of a passionate and motivated team. As a charity, our marketing budgets are modest and you will need to take an entrepreneurial approach to the role, making sure all campaigns are effective. This role is diverse and you will need to work hard, with the support of an experienced and enthusiastic team!
A little more about the role
You will be part of a small and focused team which covers marketing, fundraising, communications and membership. You will need to be able to use your initiative, and be confident and flexible in a multi-channel role.
The role will include marketing all aspects of one of Lancashire’s top visitor attractions, Brockholes Nature Reserve; this will include weddings, conferences, events and the restaurant. You will work with the marketing team to drive visitors, increase visitor engagement and achieve sales targets. This is an exciting product to market, and you will be enthusiastic and raring to go!
We want you to take us to the next level, and write engaging copy to our wide variety of audiences. You will have a creative approach to social media and email marketing and look for ways to increase engagement, and reach on a daily basis. You will also support our project officers in running smaller groups and pages, keeping our brand and tone of voice consistent online.
You will support the day to day running and development of two websites, one commercially focused and one focused around the charitable aims and objectives. Both will need you to create fresh and engaging copy, and increase conversion rates.
Membership donations are a key source of the charity income. You will work with both our recruitment and retention officers to grow our membership, improve the donor journey and reduce attrition rates on our membership. You will also support legacy campaigns and fundraising appeals.
Fundraising and Campaigns
You will support the team in delivering fundraising appeals, and wider campaigns for the Trust. This will include supporting the delivery of national campaigns on a wide range of subjects and issues around nature and the environment.
You will support our Communications Manager in raising our profile across a range of national and regional media, attending interviews and supporting project officers during their interviews with the media.
As part of a small team, you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and support the overall objectives where needed. No two days will be the same, but they will be exciting, challenging and rewarding in equal measures. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a multi-channel marketing environment.
