Nature Reserve Trainee Placement

We are offering a trainee placement on North Manchester’s urban nature reserves for local people who wish to have a career in environmental conservation. The placement will have the opportunity to have hands on experience learning conservation management and general project management skills whilst earning minimum wage.

The Lancashire Wildlife Trust, manage various greenspaces around North Manchester and this placement will particularly focus on the Trust owned reserves of Moston Fairway and Cutacre along with various other local urban reserves as required. This role will help to restore and maintain areas of green space, to improve access to these areas and to raise awareness with communities about their local heritage and wildlife.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with an energetic, ‘can do’ attitude, a passion for learning new skills, who are committed and have an understanding of this important landscape for both people and wildlife.
