Reserves Project Officer North

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for someone with strong supervisory and practical land management skills to deliver a range of conservation work on some of our most spectacular wildlife reserves across Highland Scotland.

Working with reserve manager, you will plan, implement and oversee reserve work with contractors and volunteers.  You will undertake and manage a range of tasks including footpath maintenance, fencing, forestry, habitat management and deer control.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent organisational and leadership skills, enthusiasm and flexibility.  The role requires outdoor working in demanding, sometimes rugged environments.

To apply you should be educated to Higher National Certificate level and qualified in practical land management skills or be able to demonstrate the equivalent experience.  LANTRA or NPTC qualifications in the use of brush-cutters, chainsaws is essential, whilst herbicide application is desirable.

A full UK driving licence, first aid certificate and health and safety awareness is essential.
