Temporary Carbon Landscape Assistant Interpretation & Access Officer

LWT are the leading environmental charity in the region that stands up for wildlife, creates wildlife havens and inspires communities about the natural environment in our diverse urban and rural communities. LWT is the lead organisation for the Carbon Landscape, a Landscape Partnership Scheme.  Although we expect this post to fit the ethos of the organisation, we will be seeking an individual who can represent the Carbon Landscape Partnership, and who is best placed to support an exciting and ambitious programme funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

We need an enthusiastic Assistant Interpretation and Access Officer to take forward focussed access projects that encourage use and appreciation of our landscape, alongside a dedicated and passionate Programme Team and partners.

We are looking for an individual with a ‘can do’ and resilient attitude who has a passion for engaging and empowering local people, local groups, and reaching out to new audiences, making our landscape more accessible.  Now in our fourth year this programme is at full pace and there will be opportunity to drive forward projects simultaneously in a fully supported environment.

In return, we offer a friendly and flexible working environment, great opportunities for professional development and the chance to make a positive difference for people and communities in Wigan, Salford and Warrington
