Volunteer Education Trainee

Salary: voluntary

 Hours:   2 – 3 days per week, negotiable. A commitment of 6 -12 months is required

 Based:  The Nature Discovery Centre, Thatcham, RG19 3FU.

The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing over 80 nature reserves, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife.

We are on the look-out for an enthusiastic Education Trainee to help run our education centre. You will assist with, and lead, school group activities, both at the centre and at schools. You will also assist  with running events for families. There may also be the opportunity for developing educational resources and facilities.

This post offers a great opportunity for you to develop your skills in the environmental education field, build experience working with children in an outdoor setting and to inspire the next generation on our beautiful site.

The closing date for applications is 5pm Friday 14th April 2017.

Interviews will be held at The Nature Discovery Centre on Wednesday 17th April 2017.
