Baby Birds Parent and Toddler Group Volunteer

We need enthusiastic & friendly volunteers to help organise a parent toddler group which run during term time at the reserve. Baby Birds meets every Wednesday for Parents and Toddlers to discover more about nature and have fun sharing time together. There is a mix of indoor and outdoor play activities with an emphasis on connecting with nature. The sessions run for 2 hours in the morning and afternoon. Experience of working with young children in outdoors activities is essential.

Skills Required:

  • Just a can-do attitude and be prepared to get involved.
  • Experience of working with young children & chatting to parents is useful. However, not necessary as all appropriate training will be provided.
  • A well organised approach will help everyone but most important is to be welcoming, friendly & approachable.

Time Commitment: A morning or afternoon per week.

Volunteers play a major role in the work of the RSPB & we regard volunteers as a very important part of the success of our reserves.
