Communications Voluntary Trainee

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s fundraising and engagement team are seeking a new Communications Voluntary Trainee to help us with our work engaging with 42,000 members and the wider public in Yorkshire about our work for wild places and wildlife. The fundraising and engagement team are responsible for communications, membership, fundraising, campaigning and volunteering; which is growing from strength to strength.

The team communicates through a wide variety of media including written publications such as; a quarterly member’s magazine, leaflets, posters, site interpretation, press releases, our website and social media.

We are offering a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic and creative team, where you can learn new skills in communications alongside our Communications Manager and the wider team. This role would be suited to someone who is interested in developing a career in Communications/PR or similar.

The role is for 6 months and will be between 2-3 days a week, there is flexibility with days and this can discussed at interview. You can expect a competitive training budget, travel expenses and you will be based at our HQ in York.
