Conservation Researcher – Local History – Smithills Estate – Bolton

Would you like to help us to research the history of our iconic Smithills Estate and the people who have lived here? This can be archive research, genealogy, or oral history. Our History Group meet monthly to share research and listen to visiting speakers. We will be beginning an oral history project in early 2019, with full training given. This role can be home based but you will ideally live within 30 miles of the site.

Your role will involve identifying potential sources of information for your research relating to the site and querying online and offline research sources including original records, photographs, newspapers and secondary sources.
