Living Seas Welcome Volunteer
Why do we need you?
Our Living Seas Centre is a gateway to the wonderful marine wildlife found on Yorkshire’s east coast. Here you will find a warm welcome, lots of passionate volunteers and staff to enthuse visitors about the marine environment and what they could see you their visit. We’d like some new people to join the team and makes our visitors days special. If you enjoy talking to people and being in a busy and friendly environment, whilst making sure people have an inspiring visit we would like to hear from you.
Alongside answering questions you will help to set up and supervise simple craft activities and inform people about the wider programme run from the centre. You will also help in the day-to-day duties; helping with sales in the shop, carrying out basic admin duties, updating the sightings board and promoting the wider work of Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
Commitment: Flexible- the centre is open weekdays and at weekends. You could help out with half a day a month to a day a week, the choice is yours!
If you’d like to join the bustling and lively team at the Living Seas Centre to share your enthusiasm of the sea with our visitors, then we would love to hear from you.
