Local Media Volunteer – East Anglia

Do you want to use your creative writing skills to gain PR experience with a national charity?

As the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity, the Woodland Trust depends a lot on publicity to get it’s messages out.

You will work directly with a PR Officer (the Local Media Volunteer manager) from the Trust’s central PR team who will be your lead for all PR work. In addition, you will be put in touch with local Woodland Trust staff in your county, including Site Managers and Regional Development Officers.

The PR officer will feed you resources on relevant national campaigns we are running where we need support in your local media, plus sign off all press releases and lead your PR activities. You will also have the opportunity to be our eyes and ears on tree and wood-related stories and opportunities that we might then be able to respond on or get involved with.

This is a great opportunity to get some hands on media experience whilst helping us spread the word.

We are currently looking for volunteers based full time in East Anglia
