Nature Force Mid-Week Volunteer
The midweek team is the driving force of our Reserves team, helping to maintain and enhance WWT nature reserves. Tasks vary throughout the year, ranging from meadow and ride cutting to coppicing, tree felling, scrub clearance, invasive species removal, construction projects, fencing, pond work and a range of other tasks. No prior experience is required as full training will be given.
We require volunteers on a Tuesday to Friday whenever the volunteer can afford the time – there is no minimum commitment required. Please be aware of the physical nature of the practical work and the requirement to work with or alongside powered equipment. You will need a willingness to work outdoors in all weather and in remote locations.
Meet like minded people, learn new skills, get some fresh air and exercise, and contribute to the conservation of our beautiful nature reserves.
The Trust looks after various reserves throughout Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull and the group meets at Brandon Marsh Nature Centre, where transport to different nature reserves will be provided.
