Seed Collection Volunteer – Snowdonia, Wales

In this role you will join a small team of volunteers undertaking a large scale collection of local provenance Welsh tree seed and cuttings.

You will be assisting the Volunteer Manager in planning and delivering the collection of native tree seed and cuttings on a seasonal basis from woods in North West Wales, particularly Meirionnydd Oakwoods, Coed Felinrhyd & Llennyrch, Maentwrog, to improve the availability of local provenance Welsh trees for planting in the region. This may involve the use of simple hand tools and equipment.

If you have a genuine interest in wildlife conservation and woodlands, especially Western Atlantic Oakwoods, and the ability to identify different native tree species we would be very happy to hear from you.  You will also need an awareness of the importance of biosecurity.
