Spurn Lighthouse Keeper
The Lighthouse at Spurn has undergone a major restoration project and is now a Heritage must see for visitors to the area. The Lighthouse tells the story of Spurn which spans across five floors. The various new interpretation will enable visitors to get a glimpse into the past of this unique place and the journey concludes at the top of lighthouse where visitors will get a chance to see what Spurn is like from the top of the Lighthouse.
You’ll definately need a head for heights for this role! We need you to inspire and interact with our visitors while they are in the Lighthouse by bringing the story of Spurn to life through talking to them and sharing knowledge about the history and changing landscape that is Spurn today. We’re looking for someone who likes to talk to people and ignite their imagination.You must be physically fit as you will be required to ascend and descend several flights of narrow steps in the Lighthouse whilst volunteering. Local knowledge is desirable but not essential as you will receive training in the history of the site.
