Volunteer Rangers x 3

Three Volunteer Rangers required as part of the National Trust for Scotland’s countryside ranger service in Glencoe.  Would suit recent graduates or someone starting a career in conservation.

All posts would involve a variety of tasks working as part of the Ranger team. These could include footpath maintenance, tree nursery work, delivery of education and events, ecological survey work/habitat monitoring, fencing, assisting the stalker, and staffing the ranger information desk.

The posts would commence on 19th March and run until the end of October 2018. Applicants who are available for the duration of the season will be favoured. Some knowledge/experience in the relevant field required but a willingness to learn is essential. Ability to work under own initiative and good communication skills necessary. Volunteers must also be happy with working and living in a remote place, leading walks and other events and working both indoors and outdoors. A full clean driving licence is essential.

Shared accommodation provided. The post is subject to a Disclosure Scotland (PVG) check.

Closing date: 9th February 2018. Interviews will be held 22nd/23rd February 2018
