Woodland Working Party, Fingle Woods, Devon

Fingle Woods is one of the largest woodland restoration projects in the country. Together Woodland Trust and National Trust are joining forces to help restore the site to it’s former glory. With over 800 acres there are plenty of opportunities to roll up your sleeves and get involved.

Volunteer work parties take place on Weds and Sat each month and are led by Jim White. The work is quite physical, clearing scrub and small trees or path work but everyone goes at their own pace and there is always a brew on the fire. Jim is excellent at leading the parties and is very knowledgeable about what is being done and why and will help guide anyone who is new to volunteering or this type of activity

No experience is necessary for this role, full training and support will be provided.  You will need to wear old clothes and strong shoes / wellies . Depending on the time of year a waterproof is always handy.

If you are interested and would like to get involved please email us using the contact details below.
