Woodland Working Party – Heartwood

Heartwood is located in the heart of London’s green belt, located near Sandridge just three miles north of St Albans in Hertfordshire, this new woodland is being created with help from community volunteers.

The site contains four small remnants of precious ancient woodland, surrounded by newly planted woodland.

We are looking for volunteers to join our existing working party who are active at the site. The group help to plant trees throughout the winter and take part in general maintenance throughout the summer months.

Task days usually start around 10am and finish at 3pm but if you can only make part of the day then that’s fine too. We’ll provide tools and equipment, just bring along lunch and a drink and wear boots and a waterproof jacket.

No experience is necessary for this role and all training will be provided.
