Peatlands Programme Trainee

We are looking for a Peatlands Programme Trainee to help deliver a wide range of restoration and paludiculture work as well as reserve management throughout Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

Lancashire Wildlife Trust is a leader in lowland peatland restoration and the trainee will gain the opportunity of working alongside experienced team members to support the overall project delivery and reserve management. The role will develop habitat restoration skills, practical conservation techniques, survey experience and will liaise with partners, external landowners and volunteers,

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is starting out in a career in conservation and will help develop skills in peatland restoration and management. The role will require someone who can embrace the challenges that the role will bring, has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and enjoys working with project partners.
