Silwood Park is one of Britain’s foremost centres for research and teaching in ecology, evolution, and conservation. It is one of the academic campuses of Imperial College London. It is situated in the village of Sunninghill near Ascot in Berkshire, and provides modern academic buildings, laboratories and greenhouses, set in 100 ha of parkland where long-term ecological field experiments are conducted. It is home to the Department of Life sciences’s Evolutionary Biology Theme and Grand Challenges in Ecosystems & the Environment Initiative. It is home to 32 academic staff, 10 research fellows, about 40 PhD students and 80+ Masters students.
