Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust

Sheffield

The Wildlife Trust for Sheffield and Rotherham exists to build a better future for people and wildlife.

We are the biggest voluntary sector nature conservation and environmental regeneration organisation in South Yorkshire, with over 5,200 members, 54 staff and an annual turnover of about £1.8m.

Our aim is to work alongside local people to protect and enhance the environment of Sheffield and Rotherham. We also work to increase the public’s understanding of the natural world and provide opportunities for people to enjoy being outdoors.

The Wildlife Trust for Sheffield and Rotherham is one of 47 Wildlife Trusts working to make the United Kingdom a better place for people and wildlife. With more than 800,000 members, the Wildlife Trusts are the largest UK voluntary organisation dedicated to conserving the full range of the UK’s habitats and species. Collectively they manage over 2,300 nature reserves covering more than 90,000 hectares.
