Education Volunteers

Education Volunteers Wanted

Can you spare a day a week to support our Education Programme with schools and at events?

We are looking for committed and enthusiastic volunteers to support our Education Team to lead and help with our Education Visits and Outreach Visits with 2 – 12 year olds.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Education Visits involve school groups visiting Rutland Water Nature Reserve to take part in a day or half day of activities.
Type of activities include pond dipping, minibeast hunting, birdwatching, tree trails & wild art.

Outreach Visits take our Education Programme into schools across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The whole class science and woodland workshops take place in the school’s grounds or local green space.

Events such as Wild Play family sessions are delivered during school holidays at Burbage Common, Hinckley.
